Plot is an international design practice based in London and Seoul, founded by YeoJin Choi and Myoungjae Kim in 2018. The ‘Plot’ represents two key architectural approaches that the practice is strongly believe in – story and site.
As a practice Plot explores the power of narrative in architectural design and brings this into practice’s key design approach to create unique identity and individual experiences in the space. We also aim to create orchestrated response through in-depth analysis of the site as well as a sensitive approach to the site specific characteristics.
YeoJin Choi and Myoungjae Kim studied and worked in Korea and London. Both of them are registered architects in ARB(Architects Registration Board,UK) as well as chartered members of RIBA(Royal Institute of British Architects).
They worked in the well-establish architectural practices and completed a number of important projects in London, playing a key role from design to construction. Their extensive experiences will be a strong basis in delivering creative design with quality across a wide range of scale and sectors.

Plot Architects ㅣ 플롯건축사사무소는 2018년에 설립된 회사로, 기획설계부터 실시설계까지 설계 전반에 걸쳐 다양한 디자인 프로젝트를 진행하고 있는 회사입니다. 이야기와 땅이라는 사전적 의미를 갖는 ‘플롯’은 본 회사가 가장 중요하게 추구하는 가치이며 건축적 접근 방식을 표현하는 단어이기도 합니다.
플롯은 건축디자인 안에서 만들어지는‘스토리’를 탐구하며, 이는 고유하고 개별적인 공간경험을 이끌어내는 중요한 디자인 요소가 됩니다. 또한 도시구조와 ‘대지’의 깊이있는 이해를 바탕으로, 새로운 건물과 기존 도시와의 조화로운 관계를 디자인하고자 합니다.
Founders
최여진과 김명재는 모두 한국과 런던에서 학업을 마치고 실무를 경험하였으며 영국왕립건축사를 취득하였습니다.
또한, 런던의 대표적인 건축회사에서 오랜 실무를 수행하며 디자인 단계 부터 현장 경험까지 다양한 영역에서 중요한임무를 맡아 진행하였습니다. 플롯은 이러한 폭 넓은 실무 경험을 바탕으로 디자인의 가치를 중시하고 다양한 범위의 스케일을 넘나들며 창의적인 디자인과 고품격의 건축을 만들는것을 목표로 합니다.
YeoJin Choi ARB, RIBA
YeoJin Choi studied her undergraduate and master at Kyunghee University in Korea, and diploma at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in London. She has over 10 years professional experience in Seoul and London, working on a broad range of projects including church, education building, office, residential and public buildings.
While YeoJin worked at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, she delivered a number of key projects including a new build secondary school in Southwark, ASAA & Highshore school, an office building, part-refurbishment and part-new-build, in the City of London, 1 King William Street and the interior reconfiguration and refurbishment of an international conference centre, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, in the heart of Westminster where she proved a strong design sensibility at the scale of the whole project as well as at the detailed level.
On her return to Korea in 2018, She established Plot Architects with Myoungjae Kim and is currently teaching Architectural Design Studio at Kyunghee University.
Myoungjae Kim ARB, RIBA, KARB
Myoungjae Kim studied her undergraduate in Hanyang University in Seoul, and diploma/master in UCL, the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. She has 10 years of extensive experience in London working on wide range of projects from office, mixed used development, residential projects to art installation at three different practices.
She was strongly involved in high profile projects in central London such as 5 Broadgate and St James’s Market Phase 2 at Make architects, with forward thinking approaches in workplace design to deliver ambitious brief from one of the leading clients in UK construction industry. Myoungjae delivered a number of projects from onset to completion where she gain in-depth knowledge in construction process and delivering the project with high quality.
She also lectured at Oxford Brookes University and Central Saint Martins University in UK as well as Lund University in Sweden. In 2018, she co-founded Plot Architects with YeoJin Choi and currently teaching Architectural Design Studio at KwangWoon University

서울시 공공건축가, 서울시 교육청 꿈담건축가
경희대학교 건축학부, 건축조경전문대학원을 졸업하고 한국의 실무를 경험한 후 영국으로유학, UCL의 바틀렛 건축학교에서 디플로마를 졸업하였습니다.
이후 런던의 Timothy Hatton Architects 와 Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects에서 학교, 오피스, 컨퍼런스센터 등의 다양한 프로젝트를 통해 건축과 인테리어 등의 다양한 실무와 현장경험을 쌓은 뒤 한국으로 돌아와 김명재 소장과 함께 플롯건축사사무소를 설립, 공동대표로써 활동하고 있으며 현재는 경희대학교에 겸임교수로 재직중입니다.
